Teles Tattoo – Tattoo Guide
The complete guide to choosing, preparing for and caring for your tattoo, for lasting quality.
INTRODUCTION
A tattoo is more than art: it is identity, expression and a personal story. This guide helps you choose the right tattoo, understand the entire tattoo process, care for your tattoo correctly and preserve the result for years to come. Written by professional tattoo artists: clear, easy to understand and reliable.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT TATTOO?

1. Meaning – or simply aesthetics
A tattoo can have a deep meaning, be purely aesthetic, or represent a symbol or memory. Both approaches are valid, as long as YOU like it.

2. Choose the right style
Popular styles:
• Black & grey realism: subtle shading and detail
• Fine line: thin lines, elegant and modern
• Minimal: small, discreet symbols
• Lettering: words, quotes and names
• Geometric / mandala: symmetry and precision
• Anime / cartoon: expressive and dynamic
• Old / neo traditional: bold colours and strong lines
Recommendation: avoid combining completely different styles within the same tattoo.

3. Choose the right placement
Good placements for a first tattoo: forearm, biceps, upper arm, thigh, calf and upper back.
More sensitive placements: ribs, sternum, hands and fingers, ankles, elbows and knees.

4. Tattoo size and time required
Small minimalist design: 10–30 minutes.
Medium lettering or small motifs: 1–2 hours.
Large, complex details and shading: 6+ hours.
Full sleeve, inside and outside of the arm: 5+ sessions.

5. Choose suitable references
Use clear images without filters. For realistic designs, use real photographs. Three to five images are enough. Avoid pixelated or dark references.

6. Professional consultation at Teles Tattoo
We help with size, style, placement, adapting the design to your anatomy and refining your idea. Professional advice helps avoid mistakes and saves time and money.

TATTOO AFTERCARE

First 24 hours
• Do not remove the protective film.
• Do not touch the tattoo.
• No sport or sweating.
• Do not clean the tattoo immediately after the appointment.

Days 1–7 — active healing
Gentle washing: use lukewarm water and antibacterial soap. Pat dry carefully; do not rub.
Use only a dedicated tattoo cream if you are not wearing Second Skin: apply a very thin layer 2–3 times daily. Do not use perfumed creams, petroleum jelly, oil or baby cream.
Important: do not scratch, pick scabs or wear tight clothing. Avoid sunlight and contact with dirt, animal hair or dust.

Second Skin / Dermalize — free at Teles Tattoo
At Teles Tattoo, every tattoo includes a free Dermalize film.
• Lasts 5–7 days
• Protects against infection
• Speeds up healing
• Prevents friction
• Helps retain colour
No cream is needed while wearing the film. After removing it on day 5–7, begin the washing and cream routine 2–3 times daily.

Days 7–30 — complete healing
Use tattoo cream daily. Avoid saunas, tanning beds, swimming pools and sunlight. Continue good hygiene.

After 30 days
The tattoo is fully healed. Use regular moisturiser. Sunscreen with SPF 30–50 is very important. The final result is visible after 4–6 weeks.
TOUCH-UPS / REWORK

Touch-ups are not free. They are charged as a separate appointment, depending on the work required.
Recommended if lines are too faint, pigment has healed unevenly, or you would like more intensity, clarity or contrast.
